Live: spotter log + Stripe
Manual total
The thermometer adds up every bid typed into the bid entry page from the spotter log, then checks Stripe for reader payments. When a card payment carries a paddle number in the reader note, that paddle's pledge turns into paid money on the column.

Include gift amounts in the ticker
In Stripe, go to Developers → API keys → Create restricted key. Set PaymentIntents and Charges to Read, and leave everything else at None. The key stays on the display server; it is never shown on screen or sent back to a browser. Names come from the check-in list on the bid entry page, shown as first name and last initial. Paddles marked anonymous show as “A friend of the clinic.”
Amount raised so far
No add-on needed. Type the figure from your dashboard, then use “+ Paid gift” during the event to add cash, checks, and pledge cards — each one can carry a donor name for the ticker.

Pledged, not yet collected
The room sees the full total, including tonight's pledges. The striped segment and the “Pledged, not yet paid” figure keep your own tracking honest about what is actually in the bank. Use “+ Pledge” for a card that still needs to be collected, and “+ Paid gift” for cash, checks, and completed card gifts.
